- पहली बार हो रहा टूर्नामेंट 30 अगस्त को शुरू होगा, जिसमें शहर-आधारित फ्रेंचाइजी- गोरखपुर लायंस, कानपुर सुपरस्टार, काशी रुद्र, लखनऊ फाल्कन्स, मेरठ मावेरिक्स और नोएडा सुपर किंग्स प्रतिष्ठित ट्रॉफी के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा करेंगे -

लखनऊ: उत्तर प्रदेश में क्रिकेट के लिए एक नए युग की शुरुआत का गवाह बने एक शानदार समारोह के दौरान यूपीटी20 लीग को आधिकारिक तौर पर रविवार, 20 अगस्त को लॉन्च कर दिया गया। लखनऊ के ग्रैंड ताज महल होटल में शानदार समारोह का आयोजन हुआ, जिसमें यूपीटी20 लीग की प्रतिष्ठित ट्रॉफी का अनावरण किया गया और साथ ही छह शहर-आधारित फ्रेंचाइजियों द्वारा अपनी-अपनी टीमों की जर्सी लॉन्च की गईं। साथ ही लीग के लिए एक शानदार एंथम भी लॉन्च किया गया, जो यूपीटी20 की ऊर्जा की भावना को सबके सामने रखता है। राज्यसभा सदस्य और बीसीसीआई के उपाध्यक्ष राजीव शुक्ला तथा उत्तर प्रदेश क्रिकेट संघ (यूपीसीए) के निदेशक आईपीएस डीएस चौहान सहित कई अन्य विशिष्ट अतिथियों ने इस अवसर की शोभा बढ़ाई और इस रोमांचक प्रयास को अपना समर्थन दिया। इस आयोजन में लीग की फ्रेंचाइजियों का भी प्रतिनिधित्व देखा गया, जो क्रिकेट के इस उत्सव का आधार हैं। इनमें गोरखपुर लायंस, कानपुर सुपरस्टार, काशी रुद्र, लखनऊ फाल्कन्स, मेरठ मावेरिक्स और नोएडा सुपर किंग्स टीमें शामिल हैं। प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के दौरान राजीव शुक्ला ने लीग के लिए उत्साह व्यक्त करते हुए कहा, “मैं रोमांचित और प्रसन्न हूं कि यूपीटी20 लीग लॉन्च हो गई है। हम लंबे समय से अपनी खुद की लीग शुरू करने की योजना बना रहे थे क्योंकि इसकी भारी मांग है। उत्तर प्रदेश में विशाल आबादी के साथ, अधिक से अधिक खिलाड़ियों को समायोजित करना और उन्हें अपनी प्रतिभा दिखाने का अवसर प्रदान करना हमारे लिए एक चुनौती रही है। प्रत्येक फ्रेंचाइजी में लगभग 25 खिलाड़ी होने की शर्त के साथ, हमारा मानना है कि यह लीग यूपी से सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रतिभाओं को सामने लाने और टीम इंडिया को नई प्रतिभाएं देने का एक बेहतरीन मंच बनकर सामने आएगा।”

The Grand Taj Mahal hotel in Lucknow played host to an esteemed affair where the coveted trophy was unveiled, and the vibrant team jerseys were launched by six city-based franchises. Adding to the fanfare, a resounding anthem that encapsulates the spirit of UPT20’s energy was also launched today. Distinguished guests including Shri Rajeev Shukla, Member of Rajya Sabha and Vice President of the BCCI, and IPS DS Chauhan, Director of the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA), graced the occasion, lending their endorsement to this exciting endeavour.
